St.Andrews Hill 2000 is named in honor of the venerable St.Andrews in Scotland. St.Andrews Hill 2000 is located in picturesque hilly countryside in the south-eastern Thai province of Rayong, just over half an hour's drive from the famous seaside resort of Pattaya.
Designed by the estimable, flamboyant and whimsical Desmond Muirhead, the par-74 St.Andrews2000, was created with a sweeping Scottish link-look over 7,540 yard of picturesque, rolling countryside. Located 120 Kilometers southeast of Bangkok and a short drive from the seaside resort of Pattaya, playing golf here during your visit to Thailand in a must.
The links-style, out-and-back course in highlighted by the 700-yard 4th and 910-yard 13th with huge tiered-greens set amidst bunkers and water.
Although outsized in length the course has balance (subtracting the excessive par-6 yardage, the course would measure less than 7,200 yards) and plays at an accessible 6,800 and 6,300 yard from the two mid-tees. The par-3s average less than 195 yards except for the prodigious 240-yards 17th (handicapped 6). The par-4s travel from 327 to 488 yards and offer a great range of golf shots.
The two par-5s are normal but tough. Most interesting, however, in the bold assortment of memorable holes. It’s a daunting challenge and be prepare for the divine agony of a long and fascinating day of golf.
